About TweakDeals
Last updated: May 2026 · 168 products tracked across 8 categories
TweakDeals is an independent price intelligence tool for AliExpress tech gear — keyboards, IEMs, mini PCs, handhelds, and more.
The core problem: many retailers inflate “original” prices to make discounts look bigger than they are. A product listed at $200 with “50% off” might have never actually cost $200.
TweakDeals tracks actual historical prices daily, so you can see whether a discount is real.
What we track
We focus on technical categories where product quality varies significantly and expert reviews exist — so scores are meaningful, not guesswork.

How fake discount detection works
01Daily price polling
We scrape current prices from AliExpress every day for all tracked products.
02Historical baseline
Each product has a running 90-day price history. We track every recorded price change.
0330-day average comparison
Current price is compared against the 30-day average. If it's above average, we flag it.
04Discount verification
When the "original" price has never been lower than the current price, we treat the discount as potentially misleading.
Note: price data reflects AliExpress list prices. Actual seller discounts and coupon codes may vary. Check the full product page for all available discounts.
Expert review scores
Beyond price tracking, products are scored 0–100 based on expert reviews from trusted sources (techpowerup, techspot, headphones.com, crinacle, audiosciencereview, and more) combined with community sentiment.
Scores help you compare products on pure value — not just whether the price is good right now, but whether the product itself is worth buying at all.
Score breakdown
- Expert reviews — weighted by source reliability; systematic benchmarks overrule anecdotal impressions
- Community sentiment — real-world user reports and discussions from Reddit
- Confidence indicator — based on number of expert sources and review volume
Score ranges
75–100Excellent — highly recommended
60–74Good — solid performer
45–59Average — check alternatives
< 45Below average — limited data or known issues
How scoring works
01Source collection
We identify expert review sources in each category — sites that publish systematic benchmarks, measurements, and long-term usage reports. Reddit community discussions are added as a secondary signal for real-world reliability and common failure modes.
02LLM synthesis
Extracted review data is processed through an LLM that identifies product strengths (PROs) and documented weaknesses (CONs). Only physically-verified, product-relevant observations count — not price observations or unspecified claims.
03Score computation
The final 0–100 score reflects expert consensus on product quality, weighted by source reliability. Community sentiment provides a secondary check — products with strong community reports of failures get flagged even if expert reviews are limited.
04Quality gates
Products with fewer than 2 expert sources receive a confidence discount — their scores are reliable but not statistically robust. Products with no expert coverage are excluded from scoring until sufficient data exists.
See the full methodology on our How We Score page, including the exact sources used and how individual reviews are weighted.
Why TweakDeals over AliExpress itself?
vs AliExpress searchAliExpress sorts by commission, not value. TweakDeals sorts by expert score + deal quality.
vs Generic deal aggregatorsMost aggregators track price only — not whether the product is any good. A cheap IEM is still a bad buy.
vs Reddit aloneReddit gives anecdotal opinions. TweakDeals combines systematic expert benchmarks with community sentiment.
vs Price history sitesWe track both price AND product quality — so you know if the deal is on something worth buying.
Frequently asked questions
How do you make money?
We earn an affiliate commission when you click through to AliExpress and buy something. This costs you nothing extra — AliExpress pays us a small percentage of the sale. Product rankings are determined by scores and deal quality, not commission rates.
Who runs TweakDeals?
TweakDeals is an independent project. It is not affiliated with AliExpress, any product manufacturer, or retailer.
How often do you update prices?
Prices are scraped daily. Expert scores are updated when new reviews are published or when we identify significant price shifts that affect deal quality.
How do you choose which products to track?
We focus on categories where expert reviews exist and product quality varies significantly — keyboards, IEMs, handhelds, and mini PCs. Products are added based on community interest, review coverage, and AliExpress bestseller data.
Can I suggest a product to add?
Yes — use the search bar on the deals page. If a product is missing, it likely doesn't have enough expert review coverage yet for us to score it fairly.
Is my data tracked?
No personal data is collected. The site uses analytics (Umami, self-hosted) that doesn't use cookies or track individuals. See our Privacy Policy for details.
